Project Owner Fadhili Plant Cogeneration Company (FPCC) is a Special Purpose Vehicle consisting of Saudi Aramco (SA), Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and the Engie Energy International (EEI).
SA will purchase 100 % of the steam (1,447 t/h) and water capacity (768.8 t/h) and SEC will purchase 100 % of the electrical capacity (1519 MW)
The Fadhili Combined Heat and Power Plant will consist of all facilities necessary for the utilization of the amount of Low BTU gas allocated to the Fadhili Combined Heat and Power Plant and supplied by the adjacent Fadhili Gas Processing Plant of Saudi Aramco for cogeneration of steam and electricity.
The Fadhili Combined Heat and Power Plant will provide the requested amount of steam as well as boiler feed water and demineralised water to FGP.
The Fadhili Combined Heat and Power Plant will take the condensate returning from the FGP. The difference between returning condensate and supplied amount of steam and water will be compensated by additional amount of demineralized water provided by Marafiq.
The primary fuel, a low BTU gas, will be provided by Aramco’s Fadhili Gas Processing Plant. The back-up fuel is a Grid Sales Gas from Aramco’s Fadhili Gas Processing Plant. The Fadhili Combined Heat and Power Plant and the Fadhili Gas Processing Plant comprise the Fadhili Gas Complex.
The Fadhili Gas Complex is located in the vicinity of Saudi Aramco’s gas fields approximately 30 kilometres southwest of Khursaniyah Gas Plant and 50 kilometres northwest of Jubail Industrial City.
